Wash Process 

Check In:  Regardless of whether you bring your equipment directly into MetroWest CleanGear, drop it off at a fundraiser, arrange for a pick-up, or utilize a drop zone location that is convenient to you, your order will processed consistently.
Each item to be cleaned will be inspected. Each item will be recorded on an invoice sheet, with condition of each item noted. The invoice will be completed with your name and contact information. The other invoice copy will be presented to you as your claim check.
Loading: Upon arrival to our cleaning facility, your equipment is removed from the clear red plastic collection bag by our staff, and loaded into a protective mesh bag, which safely secures your gear during the cleaning and disinfecting process. This "lock-down" feature prevents the type of damage caused by the agitation and tumbling of conventional washers, which breaks down protective foam and accelerates the wear and tear on the threading. Special attention is given to ensure that your equipment will be positioned in the bag to ensure the best cleaning results.  If necessary, heavily soiled items, such as gloves, will be presoaked.
Cleaning: The Esporta ES3250 system goes through a four stage wash, rinse, and extract cycle before the final drying process. The system uses advanced detergents and disinfectants to ensure that your gear is professionally cleaned, and a finishing fragrance to make it smell fresh. This includes our Force Disinfectant which effectively eliminates bacteria and fungus from the equipment. Clinical lab trials show that Force eliminated 99.7% of these harmful agents.
Drying: Your equipment comes out of the Esporta machine smelling fresh and clean. However, the equipment still has approximately 10% moisture content at this stage, in order to keep leathers soft and prevent the overheating of the plastics used in the equipment. A final stage on the finishing rack and the equipment is ready to be returned.
Check Out: Your cleaned and disinfected equipment is placed and sealed in a clear, plastic Esporta bag, and is now ready for pick-up at MetroWest CleanGear, returned to the appropriate drop zone, or delivered to your home.  All that remains is for you to present your invoice (claim check), and the cleaning process is complete.
